5 Keys

To identifying an ideal partnership
i know when I first started my business I was desperate to find a partner who was better at marketing and sales than I was. All about Negotiation

Negotiating is the process by which two or more parties with different needs and goals work to find a mutually acceptable solution to an issue. Because negotiating is an inter-personal process, each negotiating situation is different, and influenced by each party’s skills, attitudes and style. We often look at negotiating as unpleasant, because it implies conflict, but negotiating need not be characterized by bad feelings, or angry behaviour. Understanding more about the negotiation process allows us to manage our negotiations with confidence increases the chance that the outcomes will be positive for both parties. Negotiation need not be confrontational. In fact effective negotiation is characterized by the parties working together to find a solution, rather than each party trying to WIN the contest of wills. Keep in mind that the attitude that you take in negotiation (eg. hostile, cooperative) will set the tone for the interaction. If you are confrontational, you will have a fight on your hands.

Introducing SEO Technology

Ever Heard of SEO (search engine optimization), personally I did not hear about except aftermeeting Mr. Andoni Khoury, the CEO of M3Webz company. I was amazed of what SEO can do and how the rank of any website on the search pages can matter to the researcher. Mr.Khoury explains in this interview all about SEO, its importance and magnitude. Read on to know more about this amazing technology…

Tell us about yourself and your position in the company. What were you doing before being CEO of M3 Webz? Tell us about other important milestones in your life?
I’m a Canadian living in Egypt (a country that I love) married to a great Egyptian wife and have two wonderful daughters also expecting a new baby soon.

before taking on a career in the web designing business, I had been working in the sales & marketing field for over 20 years. Now I’m not only the CEO of M3 Webz, but also CEO of EgyGo.net, both companies are working in the E-Business fields. I have my hands in every aspect of my company from Web design & SEO tasks to sales & marketing.

The most important milestone in my life, aside from my business, is my family and fatherhood. Its amazing how this affects ones direction in life and ones goals and determination.

Please provide us a brief history of your company?
Since its conception in early 2007, M3 Webz has been growing tremendously; we are expected to double in size within this year. We are very proud to have a variety high profile of clientele, such as: Dear Guest Company, Arkadia mall, Saridar Labs, DCT (HP preferred partner in Egypt), NSCLine, DalilAmerica and many others. We believe having a website is not an option anymore in any business field. Any professional company worldwide must have a website that would reflect their professional image.

What is the core focus of M3 Webz?
M3 Webz is focused on Search Engine Optimization, Internet marketing, Online Advertising and web management services. We offer complete services including Dynamic Site Optimization. Of course I can’t exclude the role of M3webz’s sister company “EgyGo dot net” which specializes in web design services & web design optimization.

Can you explain to us briefly what is SEO (Search Engine Optimization)?
In simple words, when someone types a word or phrase into search engines (like Google) looking for your product or the services you provide, you want to appear on the first or second page of the search results to introduce your site to that someone who is searching. It’s intellectually interesting to know that there are 917,846,342 different websites that are relevant to the search query that someone does, but really, if your website doesn’t appear in the first 3 pages, then it’s invisible to the world.

in more details, SEO (Search engine optimization) is the process of editing and organizing the content on a website to increase its potential relevance to specific keywords on search engines. This is done with the aim of achieving a higher organic search listing and thus increasing the volume of targeted traffic from search engines. The higher a Web site ranks in the results of a search, the greater the chance that this site will be visited by a user. It is a common practice for Internet users to not click through pages M3 webz Introducing SEO, Technology Ever Heard of SEO (search engine optimization), personally I did not hear about except after meeting Mr. Andoni Khoury, the CEO of M3Webz company. I was amazed of what SEO can do and how the rank of any website on the search pages can matter to the researcher. Mr. Khoury explains in this interview all about SEO, its importance and magnitude. Wow, I never knew that this is something that anyone can do! Can you give us an example of some of the work you optimized before?
We will not go too far on this one; dearguest.com is one of the sites that have been search engine optimized. Before we re-designed dearguest.com, when you would type “Egyptian Magazine” into Google the old site used to appear on page 18 in the results pages. Now it appears on the first page for this search term which of course gives dearguest.com its real classification between the Egyptian magazines as one of the top ten magazines in Egypt, right??

Makes lots of sense of course, now what makes M3 Webz different from other companies in the search engine marketing industry?
We are up-close and personal with our clients. We focus directly on their business needs and make sure they understand the scope of their campaign. As we sometimes need to learn their business, we keep them well informed and make them a part of the entire process. At M3 Webz, we believe that our clients know their business better than anyone, so we want and need their input to be able to deliver that in their web site. Oh and by the way, I personally don’t know any companies in Egypt that specialize in SEO in a professional matter and that have a proven record of its success stories.

Tell us a bit about your relationship with your customers. How do you teach them about the marketing techniques? What is most important in the marketing expert – client interaction?
We believe that every client is our Only Client! We look for long term relationships and bonds with our clients. Our customer’s confidence is our number one tool in success and our mission is to create sustainable valued products & services by delivering outstanding services that help our customers to succeed.

Our clients start learning the moment they call us and inquire about our services. A well-informed buyer is our favorite client. We teach our clients what people see, how they perceive a website in the first few seconds of visiting it and how this can be changed or fine-tuned to offer a greater conversion for them. They are involved in the process from the get-go. We send keyword research reports and review them with our clients. After we adjust their “On-Page” Optimization, we let them review the changes for accuracy and explain how the changes will affect the site and their campaigns.

How do you develop your skills in the continuously changing E-Marketing environment?
We look at every site we work on during any marketing, algorithm or structural change and we make decisions on what we analyze from their current placement and current returns, we then use that information to make any adjustments for the client that may be necessary. We do lots of reading in my job to makesure we are up-to-date!

If you can summarize the most 5 important rules for search engine optimization, what will they be?
1. Good spam-free content that interacts with the reader.
2. Simple and effective message so marketing points are clear.
3. Limiting the scope of the site’s home page to core products and services rather than trying to explain everything at the same time.
4. Target your links, do not blindly build any reciprocal link and pray that it works. If it works for your competitors, then it will work for you.
5. Never stop! Never give up! Never be satisfied! Keep working hard until you get results, then work harder to get even better results!

Tell us more about the other services you offer at M3 Webz?
M3 Webz offers several different services and in some cases combines them into one.
1) Search Engine Optimization: We get our clients ranking and keep working till they are in the top positions.
2) Internet Marketing: We target visitors and create “STOP” methods (techniques that make the visitor STOP, and look at the site). This keeps them from leaving the site before they are told “We have what you’re looking for!” It also makes the visitors feel more comfortable surfing the site, believes your company is trustworthy, and lets them want to read more about your products & services.
3) Web Management, which is taking care of the updates of a client’s website
4) Web Design and we specialize in Dynamic sites which is also called CMS (Content Management System).

What’s the thing you hate most about your job?
I love my job and there is nothing that I hate about it, I get sometimes frustrated that SEO is not yet known in Egypt. But at the same time it is a great motive to lead the market in SEO and to educate our clients about the importance of SEO in their marketing plan every year.

What is the future of search engine optimization?
Where will be the challenges in developing of the online search engine presence in the near future?
There are challenges all the time. The Search Engines are changing the way they see websites and that changes the way marketers approach their campaigns. i believe that the future will be very advertisement based by offering multiple ways to find the sites, and specific search engine sites will become more important for visitors to find results. For example, if you want to look for an “Egyptian Magazine” site on the internet you will first have to look for the search engine that is specialized in that kind of search category and then search through it for your needs.

How do you see the challenge of the increase of the
number of search engine optimization companies?
Right now there are no companies here in Egypt that provides professional Search engine optimization services with a proven record of their work. But if it happens that we get a competitor then we love the challenge – it keeps us even more up-to-date, sharp and on our toes!

Where do you see M3 Webz’s role in the industry in 10 years?
We are determined to be the preferred upstream e-business solutions provider in the Middle East by 2012. I believe M3 Webz will be one of the forerunners of the industry, and will network itself within the industry to form strategic alliances with other effective companies that seek to create mutually beneficial
partnerships.

What is the most popular myth in search engine optimization that you can’t agree with?
To single out, one would be that “The Google Toolbar” matters more than anything else in SEO. This is completely UNTRUE by the way.

What are the most important skills in the leadership and how do you optimize your time management?
I personally think that there is no such thing as a bad idea. All ideas in M3webz are negotiable and accepted. That’s what gives our team members the positive ambience to be creative and deliver well, we work as a team & we are all in the same boat targeting success. It sometimes becomes time consuming to manage and schedule the campaigns, but in the end it all works out.

And finally, if the Internet had not existed - what do you think you would be doing?
Building it! Seriously, I loved computers from the time I was 5 years old, remember those old ATARI machines you plugged into the TV? (Smiling)

Thank you and good luck.
Thanks to you and wish you all the best in your wonderful magazine.
