Global Customer Appreciation Week (GCAW) is the annual activity by Marriott
International to reinforce relationships with existing customers and establish
connections with new ones. In #GCAW2016 , sales and marketing representatives
from all Marriott & Starwood properties in Egypt came together with the Global
Sales Office in to highlight #MarriottSaysThx to all customers around the world. This
yearís GCAW was perfectly timed right after Marriott Internationalís acquisition of

For GCAW ìSpirite To Serveî is the weekís highlight and this years event happened at the historical Cairo Marriott Palace. The empress lounge hosted burn victims and their families from Ahl Masr Foundation which is building the largest burns hospital in the Middle East and Africa region. The kids not only had lunch with Marriott teams and leaders but they also did face painting, enjoyed a puppet show, a magician, and did a lot of dancing and singing too! A couple of children gave some heartmelting thank youís to Ahl Masr Foundationís team that had a few people shedding some tears but the day ended with a happy note when Ahl Masr foundation gave an award to Cairo Marriott as a thank you for their continuous support during their mission to build the hospital.

Hundreds of cyclists took part in the 8KM marathon from Tahrir square to the hospitalís premise among which were Fairmont Nile City team members who were welcomed at the finish line by the rest of the team including Frank Naboulsi, Regional Vice President & General Manager, Fairmont Nile City who commented ìwe are here at 57357 Childrenís Cancer Hospital today to educate communities about what they can do to help children fighting for their lives. We all should be very much appreciative of the efforts put forth by the doctors and the entire staff of this hospital, a job well done.
