Can Escape Fate & Destiny

My seven years daughter came and told me lately “mom, I want to join star academy when I grow up”. I responded saying “you have to work for your dream”. Then suddenly it hit me and I asked myself, how many times our dreams changed along the way?Every stage of our life sets its own dreams and with time we evolve to a new path and challenge.

Our life is built up of many tiny details and various events compiling to make a whole and to comprise the totality of our life.  What I am sure of is that fate plays a major role in our lives; but to what extent can we, as human beings with aspirations and desires, accept the predetermined events imposed by the super power as certain course of events that we cannot control. Fate is inevitable and whatever we do we cannot change it.  However, we have our aspirations and we should try hard towards achieving them.  Trying our best would not necessarily ensure that we will achieve the result we want because fate plays a role that we can not control.  However, what makes us satisfied with the end result, whether it falls within our wishes or not, is that we have tried our best.  We should not be discouraged when events do not go our own way.  We should be confident that God’s choice is always the best.  Some people colloquially refer to fate as ‘qismah’ which is also refers to the ‘Will of GOD’.Planning and working to acquire what we want and achieve our dreams is essential, though many times our dreams are not what is destined for us.  As the above quote implies destiny gives us things that are beyond our wishes, supposedly for the better. I cannot deny that losing a dream is not an easy thing to go through and often makes us feel discouraged.  It needs lot of faith in God and acceptance of fate to be able to continue in other paths. On personal basis, I have dreamt of and planned for so many things in life which are completely different from what I have achieved. However when I look deeply and analyze my life I would say that God have worked out things best for me. This does not mean at all I was not disappointed at the time and felt discouraged & defeated. But what is good about going through these feelings is becoming stronger and learning that what is destined will happen no matter what we do. We are in the summer time, so I thought that it would be good to bring up this topic as we will all have an opportunity for meditation and revisiting our thoughts and hopes.  Enjoy the summer holidays.

Destiny Grants us Our Wishes, but in it's own way,in order to give us something beyond our wishes
